This book offers encouragement and empowers its readers to maintain their faith and hope in God, especially during seasons of adversity in their lives. Herein, the author presents how God faithfully lead her through a defrauded and abusive marriage and a divorce crisis in her life.

“I don’t believe that I am the only one in the church pews who was defrauded and abused by a ministry leader.” In marriages, many spouses are exposed to abuse, intimidation, humiliation, emotional manipulation, overpowering, control, isolation, neglect, abandonment, fear, misappropriation of property, and so forth, to diminish one’s sense of self and individuality, as one spouse becomes emotionally drained.

These emotional and other types of abuse experiences weigh heavily on one’s physical and spiritual life. But for God’s grace and mercy, the abusive, defrauded marriage and divorce did not send the individual into deep depression, and as in my experience, could have resulted in losing my faith.
